Practical Questions and Answers

How much will it cost?

My standard charge is £60 per 50 minute session. I do offer a limited number of reduced rate sessions for those on low income or benefits, or for counselling students. Payment is required by bank transfer in order to book a session.

Where do sessions happen?

I do face to face work from a ground floor therapy room in Rugby town centre. Parking is close by and free of charge. I also offer online sessions via Zoom, or telephone sessions if preferred.

When are you available?

I work Monday to Thursday from 8am. Availability will depend on existing appointments and we can discuss this at our initial telephone consultation.

How many sessions will I have?

It is up to you how many sessions you want to have, although I can help you with this decision, and it is something we can keep under review. Some clients find that just a few sessions can be enough to achieve the change they are looking for, whilst for others the therapeutic relationship can last much longer.

Why should I come to you for therapy?

I am fortunate that a number of my existing clients come to me through personal recommendation, which reassures me and validates the way I work. I am authentic, compassionate and reflective, and I offer a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your difficulties.

In addition to this, am highly qualified (including being accredited by the BACP), and I have extensive experience in this field, from both agency work and private practise.

What happens next?

If you think I might be the right therapist for you, we can have an initial chat on the phone to talk about how we might work together, and so that you can ask any questions you may have. We can also discuss what you are hoping to achieve from therapy. If you want to proceed to a first appointment, I will send out a detailed contract outlining the way I work, together with a document which explains my responsibilities regarding confidentiality and data protection.
